Copyright Statement

Playkla is an independent fan project about classic console games. It lets you play old games in a web browser. Playkla is not operated, sponsored or endorsed by Nintendo, Sega or any other console maker or game publisher.

Who owns the games

The games on this site were not created by Playkla. Copyright in each game, including its code, title, characters, graphics and music, belongs to its respective rights holder. Names of games, consoles and companies are trademarks of their owners and are used here only to identify the games. Playkla does not claim ownership of any of this content.

What this site provides

• Games run only inside the browser player. Playkla does not offer game files for download.
• The player is built on open-source software: EmulatorJS, RetroArch and libretro emulator cores. Each project is used under its own license. They are independent projects and are not affiliated with console makers.
• Images on game pages are title screens captured from the games. They are shown only to identify each game.

Old games and copyright

Many games here are no longer sold by their publishers. We understand that this does not end copyright: a game stays protected even when it is out of print. If a game becomes available again through official channels, or its rights holder objects to it being playable here, we will remove it or restrict access to it.

If you are a rights holder

If you own the rights to a game on Playkla, or act on behalf of the owner, and want it removed, please use the report form. Tell us which pages are affected and how you are connected to the rights. We read every report and act on valid requests.
