Wendel Scardua's ConTroll is a snake game that trolls the player by shuffling the controls.

You steer the snake around the field, dodging walls and eating coins. Every so often the D-pad and buttons swap their jobs at random, so pressing up may send the snake left, and a controller diagram at the bottom of the screen shows the current mapping. The field wraps around at the edges.

It was made for a 1JAM one-day game jam on the theme of chaos. The music comes from QBasic Nibbles, the snake game bundled with MS-DOS, which itself borrowed it from Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.

Facts

  • Made for the 1JAM game jam with the theme chaos.
  • The music is taken from QBasic Nibbles.
