SplatooD is an open-source Splatoon demake: cover more of the map with your ink than your rival before time runs out.

There are four maps, Kelp Dome, Bluefin Depot, Saltspray Rig and Two Fish, and two weapons, the roller and the charger. The credits are jokes on famous developers.

The project started on GitHub in November 2015 under the MIT license and is written in C with cc65. It began as a two-player game; a 2020 build added a computer opponent and a Squid Mode.

How to play

Controls: The D-pad moves, Start pauses. The roller is flicked with A. The charger is charged by holding A and fires when you let go.
