Nomolos: Storming the Catsle is Gradual Games' first NES game: an armoured cat named Nomolos storms the Catsle to defeat the evil Hippo.

There are 12 levels, starting in a moonlit graveyard, plus an easy mode for beginners. The soundtrack is baroque music by composers such as Scarlatti and Bach.

It came out on 15 May 2012, published on cartridge by RetroUSB, and the ROM is now free on Gradual Games' itch.io page. Destructoid described it as a blend of Castlevania, Super Mario Bros. and Ghosts 'n Goblins. Writing for Wired's GameLife, Chris Kohler found it the least polished of three new NES homebrews he covered, with floaty controls and simple art, flawed in the same ways classic 8-bit games were.
