Cold and Starving

Something hits your plane over the mountains, and you parachute down as the lone survivor. Memelvar's top-down survival game runs on a real NES or Famicom.

Health, food and warmth drop all the time. You hunt, gather, craft tools and weapons, store supplies and sleep in a log cabin, and the game warns you when you are too hungry or too cold to sleep. Nights are bitterly cold, and something else is waiting out there in the dark. There are three endings, depending on how moral your choices are.

It is a name-your-own-price download with separate ROMs for American and Japanese consoles and for European ones. The game is still in development: regular devlogs have added crafting improvements, a wild boar, spiders, a third ending and a boss in an alien base. The source is on GitHub, which the author calls pretty messy.
