Mathew Brenaman's version of the 15 puzzle: slide fifteen numbered tiles until they are in order.

A counter shows your moves, and a built-in solver can finish any position while you watch. It does not always find the shortest route, but it always solves it. The music is Bach's Prelude and Fugue BWV 558, from the Eight Short Preludes and Fugues.

Brenaman announced it on the NESdev forum in January 2011 and tested it on a real NES with a PowerPak. The source, including a reusable solver module, comes with the game. It is on the first Action 53 multicart.
